Re-circulatory aquaculture systems are indoor tank-based technology driven culture based systems in which fish are grown at high density under controlled environmental conditions. Given the fact that traditional methods of fish farming in India are able to produce just between 8 - 10 tons of fish per hectare of land  AT THE DENSITY OF ONE KG PER 1.8 TO 2 CUBIC METER OF WATER USING TOTAL QUANTITY OF WATER 15000 CUBIC METER and at the same time INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY DRIVEN RAS uses less than 20 litres of water per kg of fish production thus water consumption requirements would be 90 percent less than traditional fish farming and production would be 75 percent more than of current production. Re- circulatory aquaculture systems are closed –loop production systems that continuously filter and recycle water, enabling large-scale fish farming that requires a small amount of water and releases no pollution.
